Patrice Larue
Patrice Larue is a French artist born in Neuilly sur Seine in 1950. He studied at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris between 1970 and 1974. In 1985 he opened the illustration studio Bahamas, signing for 15 years prestigious advertising campaigns in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the US. In 2000 Patrice Larue closed his firm and decided to dedicate himself entirely to painting.
Larue is best known for his close-up depictions of the female body that become abstract in the canvas. Patrice Larue separates the subject from its ordinary reality and endows it with a life of its own.
