Steve Whitehead: Coast and Country

The exhibition will showcase new works by the landscape artist, Steve Whitehead, which continue to explore his love for the British countryside in all its seasons. Whitehead produces beautiful renditions of romantic countryside scenes, painted with careful consideration for the atmosphere he wishes to create, in order to recreate the experience of being in this particular time and place. 

The Yorkshire paintings in particular are the result of being in or travelling through a mostly familiar landscape and suddenly being jolted by a combination of form, space and light that reveals a place in a way that is, for Whitehead, extraordinary and memorable. This exhibition will feature new paintings portraying  Anglesey in North Wales as well as Scottish scenes.
