Welcome to Reality
Paintings by Francesco Stile 16 Mar - 10 Apr 2020 Stile’s main focus is on beautifully merging contemporary and traditional still life paintings. His mother and grandfather were Neapolitan view painters and it is through his upbringing, study and experience that means Stile approaches his work with a sensitivity to the traditional and an appreciation for new technology and techniques.
Stile first discovered hyper-realism in 1997 when he came across the works of Italian painter Luciano Ventrone. It was then that he began to pursue hyper-realism and perfection within his work. Stile has always been drawn to still lifes and continues to paint contemporary compositions of fruit.
The way in which he captures light, shadows and shapes, together with colours and textures creates a beautiful simplicity with a contemporary edge whilst retaining the traditions of still life paintings making Stile’s still life work stand out. Read more -

Hyperrealism
Museu del Tabac, Andorra 21 Jun - 30 Sep 2018 Hyperrealism is an art form that is of significant importance in our contemporary society today and one that continues to develop as technology advances.
Surrounded by images, signage, advertisements and mass-media in general, it has been said that the world in which we live, shapes and transforms our experience to the point that “reality” is recognised only when it is re-produced. The fine line between reality and our media- saturated culture is increasingly blurred.
